From there, she boarded the Korean Airlines to Incheon for 9 hours and while in transit, is waiting to go on a 3 hour tour around Incheon. This is great.. ...thinks the Disney's night show and Aladdin are really amazing! This version of Aladdin was funny and hilarious! The funniest character was the one on the left, the Genie, modern and technology savvy. In the Tower of Terror ..is going out to Disney for the whole day. Can you guess which one is which? Will add some more if I come across another pictures in my album or passing any river during my travel to somewhere. I kinda like the phrase 'rivers of memories'. But I'm not a good writer. Not even a good photographer. I depend on my wonderful children for getting me good pictures. The rivers are where the earliest world civilisations began. Remember the Great Niles? Or the Land between the Two Rivers, the Mesopothamia. And the Indus Valley, the location of the great ancient cities Mohenjo Daro - Harappa. Not forgetting the Mighty Hwang He. Great history and geography lesson, also one of the favourite test items in the geography paper.

Wow..never seen this kind of 'fishing port' before. Why didn't they mention it in the text book? Look. It's bigger than Tumpat (it's called pusat perikanan but I haven't seen any active fishing activities in my almost 28 years of marriage to a local Tumpatian). It is even bigger than Tawau, my fishing hometown which definitely fits the pusat perikanan status. It is Hutan Melintang, a place we 'ronda-ronda' before and after we sent our daughter to her hostel in Bagan Datoh. Mind you, the boats that berthed there are not like the ones in Tawau. There are big! I might say, a small ship. Ships that are use for deep water fishing. Unfortunately for me, I did not bring any camera to take pics of the big jetty. My hubby brought a container in case we got there early enough to buy the freshly hauled fish. But no luck. Anyway, I was thankful as I was thinking ' I'm not going to cook this week, pls..' I return the students answer sheets today. 3B, 3I, 3J and 3K. I went over the questions with 3B students and I was happy that they paid attention. But not all. The students, i noticed, love stories. About anything. As we discussed about rivers, i told them about my trips to the khlongs in Bangkok, Pasir Salak at the bank of Perak River and the rivers that i came across like Kelantan and Pahang Rivers. And we discussed about the change in the height of Kinabalu mountain and the Everest. I don't really like churning facts after facts without telling them the little stories behind them. Even the students in 3I got interested when we talked about the all time favourite, chocolates. That, in the process of teaching them how to draw 'rajah aliran' for the process of producing cocoa. However, age is catching up with me. I have become a forgetful person. I hope i can still remember stories or facts that i have collected in my almost two decades of teaching career.

Since it rained till abt 3.30 this evening, I decided to stay back in school to finish my A JK Jemputan report on Hari Anugerah Cemerlang . It took more than two hours, finishing at around 4.30 and while doing it, I also took a peek at my geog teacher's record book. She's a new teacher here and I want to know her development in teaching this subject. Form One topics are very interesting to teach because you are teaching children who are still childish and yet old enough to understand serious issues. I have a lot of things to do that I don't know where to begin. I want to prepare contents for the taklimat I'm going to give on Pembinaan Item . Then, there is my ppt presentations on the form one topics that needed some facelifts before the kelas bimbingan geografi which we had planned to carry out in the months before the Mid Year exam. Plus the exercises related to these topics. Next week, the form three students will start their Kerja Kursus Geografi PMR and definite...

I came home late this evening, nearly 7.00 oclock. The girls had their 1st netball practice today and I like their 'semangat'..really bersemangat. And thanks to Pn. Muna for coaching them for almost 2 years. But alas! their match is just two weeks away. This morning I scolded my students for not passing up their works. And also for not completing them. Same students. I told them that if they have any problem with the work I gave them, they should have seen me. I could go over the problems with them. But don't let the works get accumulated. I don't know but for the first time in my teaching career, I told my students to be professional in their 'job' as a student as much as I am in my work as an educator. The students are not really stupid. Many of my students are not proficient in Bahasa Melayu. This really impedes the process of learning the contents of my teaching. Usually it is a one way process using the lecture method. It is not good, isn't it? Howev...

Last tuesday evening, we went back to Tumpat. We reached my MIL's house at 2 something in the morning of the next day. We thought it would be a short journey considering we went back in the mid of the school holidays. Unfortunately, not so. Three accidents involving big lorries produced km long crawls along the only K.Lipis-Gua Musang-Kota Bharu route. Actually, the accidents didn't involve other vehicles. Just the lorries. Two turned turtle but I don't know about the third one since this info was given by another commuter who just came from the opposite direction. Sigh. Lorry drivers, be careful la. I am wondering whether they will build another route bypassing the populated areas. They should. The days passed by very quickly and we spent them going to Kota Bharu and Pengkalan Kubor and did some shopping. You know guys, Kelantan is a shopper's paradise for batiks (a geography lesson).
